Twilight Director Hardwicke Hints at Anime Version

Sci Fi Wire, the website of America's Sci Fi Channel (soon to be renamed Syfy), reports that Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke said that she thinks "there's going to be an anime version" of Twilight in Japan. During the DVD audio commentary for the finale of the high school vampire drama film, the following exchange took place:
Actor Robert Pattinson (Edward Cullen): I look Asian in this scene. I do, I look like an anime character.
Hardwicke: Hey, I think there's going to be an anime version of this in Japan. So you will be an anime character.


[Me on the inside: FUCKIN' FUCK YEAH! OMFG ABOUT FUCKIN TIME!!! WOOOOOOTTT! BEST. ANIME. EVER.]

No seriously, when I heard Catherine say that in the Commentary [which is funny as hell might I add.] I had to pause the movie so I could scream a lung out. Then when I got the chance today I instantly started freaking out when I found some proof of the possibility on the AnimeNetwork channel website.
